A Washington state native, Joe married the love of his life, Dawn, and together they have four sons, Joey, Ryan, Cody and Todd. Family is of utmost importance to Joe. The family can be found together enjoying fishing, camping, and sports with their dogs Jake and Lucy. Joe has to his credit two world championship titles as an arm wrestler and physical fitness and health are in Joe’s daily routines of life.

Joe was a plant manager for Cadman Rock in Monroe, WA when he decided to pursue his life long dream of a career in the music industry, he became self-employed as the owner of an entertainment company. In addition he also operates a company that does specialized welding maintenance on rock crushers.

Since 1991, Joe has traveled between Nashville and Washington State to record demos. Some of which are songs that he has written himself. He has recorded two albums that were not released to the public. He recorded his third album with KMA Records, titled “Slick Country” in May of 2004, and it was released at the Sultan summer shindig in Sultan, Wa. on July 7th 2004, with overwhelming response. Joe’s second album to be released to the public titled “Crave” was released in August of 2005 with an even greater success.

Joe is currently performing many venues with his band “The Joe Slick Band”. Some of the highlights include a shared venue with Billy Gillman and Jimmy Wayne at the Gaylord Arena in Nashville, TN to a crowd of more than 17,000 people. The crowd was brought to their feet with Joe’s performance of “God Bless the USA”. Joe shared the stage with Julie Roberts to finish up the evening with a Jam session with her band at the Riverside Casino in Tukwila. Joe along with his band has been enjoying performing at several casinos and night clubs in the Pacific North West with one of Joe’s most recent performances including the pre concert block party for Martina McBride.Â

Joe is very excited about his participation in the Colgate Country showdown where he is currently sitting as the state champion and moving on to the next round of competition at regional’s. Joe also takes pride in giving back to the community and is often times performing in benefits, some of which include the Hope for Horses rescue, Cancer Benefits and other very worthy causes.Â

Growing up in a home filled with music, Joe’s father was a professional musician whom had hosted jam sessions in their home most every weekend. Joe, dreaming of being a musician, learned to play the guitar at a very early age and has been singing his entire life.
